Chris Martin is an award winning Australian landscape artist, born in Perth in 1984. When he was fifteen, he was given a set of pastels and immediately loved the effects he could create with them. Over the last twenty years, Martin has refined his technical skills in that medium and has experimented extensively to develop his personal vision.

Martin has traveled to remote and unique locations in Western Australia to source the subject matter for his art. He has gained a deep knowledge of this landscape and its nuances, and a passion for recreating his own experiences of place.

He has been the recipient of many awards, including in the Melville Art Prize and the Canning Art Awards. Martin’s work is held in corporate and private collections within Australia and internationally. He lives and works in Perth.
